An exciting opportunity exists for a full-time Research Assistant to join an exciting research program in the Cancer Metabolism and Cancer Therapeutics Program within the Research Department at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre The successful candidate will participate in projects investigating reprogramming of cellular metabolism in breast cancer. Suitable applicants will possess a BSc (Honours) or equivalent. Experience with a variety of cell biology, molecular biology and biochemical techniques is desirable. A background in cancer research is preferred but not essential. The person will possess outstanding organisational and record keeping skills, high quality written and oral communication skills and the ability to work with independence and as part of a team. The person will be expected to generate high quality, reproducible data for publications and presentations.

 

The position is initially for a fixed term of 12 months. Remuneration is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
