BioImage Analyst

1RA5 - 1RA10


The Centre for Advanced Histology & Microscopy (CAHM) at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre provides support to researchers using high-end optical microscopes including confocal, spinning disk, multi-photon, super-resolution and spatial proteomic/transcriptomics in their research projects. 

We are seeking a motivated and organised bioimage analyst with a PhD (or equivalent experience) in computer and/or biological sciences. The analyst will provide training and assistance to researchers in the use of analysis software packages including FIJI/Image J, Imaris, Arivis, Volocity, Metamorph, Halo & QuPath. The analyst will be required to work independently, develop training materials and present at workshops/seminars. 


In addition, the analyst will work collaboratively with researchers accessing the centre to assist with data acquisition and data analysis and will develop bespoke data analysis pipelines where required. These projects will include the analysis of multidimensional live sample experiments and spatial proteomics/transcriptomics projects using our OPAL and Digital Spatial Profiler platforms. 


The position is available until 30th June 2023 in the first instance, with the possibility for extension.
