This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated new graduate dietitian (degree completed in 2019) to take on a 12 month, full-time new graduate dietitian position within the Nutrition & Speech Pathology Department of a specialist cancer centre. The successful applicant will provide clinical nutrition/dietetic services to inpatients and ambulatory patients in a multidisciplinary care setting at our main Melbourne campus. This position is not linked with a specific clinical workload however the successful applicant will work in/across all tumour streams within the 12 month period and have exposure to all clinical oncology areas.

 

A structured and supportive supervision model is provided in addition to opportunities for accessing mentoring and professional development. Some involvement in department quality, education/training, projects and research in line with Department goals is expected. We are seeking a hardworking new graduate dietitian who is passionate about working in oncology, is adaptable with excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.


The position is planned for commencement in January 2020. DAA membership and APD (provisional) status is required for this position.
