The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (PMCC) is Australia’s only public hospital solely dedicated to cancer and one of an elite group of hospitals worldwide to have its own integrated cancer research program and laboratories.


The Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation (PMCF) is the philanthropic fundraising arm for the Centre. Reporting to the Fundraising Director, you will be working with a dynamic and highly skilled team, with a strong focus on innovation, growth and success.


This role will be responsible for coordinating the identification, cultivation, submission and solicitation, reporting and ongoing stewardship of Trusts and Foundations (including private, public and corporate Trusts and Foundations) to ultimately drive income growth.


This fast-paced environment will see you building strong working relationships with the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre key stakeholders to support the hospital’s capacity to receive program support through Philanthropic and Corporate Trust funding. In addition, you will also work closely with the Foundation team in relation to the key fundraising streams of Major Gifts and Capital Campaign activities.

Selection Criteria Essential: Demonstration of fundraising experience, with proven success in Trusts and Foundation submission writing and reporting
Essential: Sound knowledge of fundraising legislation, practices and philosophy of charitable giving
Essential: Excellent written, communication, collaboration and negotiation skills
Essential: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and experience
Essential: Fundraising Database Raisers Edge literacy
Essential: Demonstrated ability to work productively both autonomously and as a member of a team
Desirable: Experience in preparing and tracking Trust and Foundation budgets
Desirable: Sound knowledge of Trust and Foundation key stakeholders
