Clinical Lead Physiotherapy
The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre is Australia’s only public hospital solely dedicated to cancer and one of an elite group of hospitals worldwide to have its own integrated cancer research program and laboratories.
This is a leadership position within Physiotherapy and provides an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and highly motivated applicant to contribute to the care delivered in this specialist hospital.
The successful applicant will provide advanced clinical leadership and practice in the area of cancer care and physiotherapy as well as have extensive experience and strategic leadership within the following areas:
- Leading a culture of quality improvement
- Leading the teaching, education, professional development activities within a department
- Developing a culture of research and academic activities
This is a permanent part time opportunity, 38.00 hours per fortnight.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Physiotherapy registration with AHPRA
- Experience in exercise prescription to at risk or functionally compromised groups
- Exceptionally strong theoretical knowledge and specialist clinical expertise
- 10 years relevant experience working in an acute hospital
- Lymphoedema management qualifications and experience are highly desirable
- Experience running groups or programs
- Higher qualifications in a relevant field
- Experience working/leading a multidisciplinary team
- Experience in service planning, development and evaluation
- Strong quality improvement, education and research skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication and time management skills
- Knowledge/experience at a senior Allied Health level in acute care
- Demonstrated leadership within the profession/Allied Health/cancer care
- A track record in delivering a range of outcomes effectively, including clinical service delivery.
- Research or project management skills are highly regarded.
