Senior Pharmacist, Sterile Manufacturing Unit (Cytotoxic Suite) Manager

The Pharmacy department at Peter Mac provides a comprehensive patient-focused service, incorporating all facets of innovative clinical pharmacy practice. Specialised areas include drug information, clinical trials, palliative care, quality use of medicines and clinical education. The department has an ongoing commitment to practice-based research and offers opportunities for involvement to all staff.

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated Senior Pharmacist to join our expanding team and lead our Cytosuite (Sterile Manufacturing Unit)

 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work within a purpose built compounding facility that contains separate cytotoxic and biohazard cleanrooms, and lead a large team dedicated to ensuring accurate, safe and timely production of anticancer admixtures for patients of the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre precinct.

 

You must be registered, or be eligible for registration, with AHPRA. Experience in managing staff and daily scheduling of work in a sterile manufacturing unit, and working knowledge and implementation experience of Good Manufacturing Practice procedures are highly desirable.

Selection Criteria Essential: Must be AHPRA registered
Essential: Must have managerial experience in a sterile manufacturing unit
Desirable: Experience providing clinical cancer care pharmacy services
