2023 PAIN MEDICINE FELLOW Part Time - Cancer, Acute and Chronic Pain

As Australia’s leading Cancer Centre, the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre provides high quality treatment and support to cancer patients, their families and carers. Peter Mac is an internationally renowned organisation with its main campus in Melbourne.

 

A vacancy exists for a 6 or 12 month post as a part time (0.5EFT) Pain Medicine Fellow commencing on 6th February, 2023. Duties will include managing acute, chronic and cancer pain with close liaison between the Parkville Integrated Palliative Care Service and the Department of Cancer Anaesthesia & Pain Medicine.

 

The Pain Fellow will work only at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre site. They will gain experience in acute and chronic cancer pain, acting within a multidisciplinary pain team and gaining experience of the interventional management of cancer pain through dedicated theatre sessions.

 

The position is an accredited training position with the Faculty of Pain Medicine of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and would suit a senior trainee or fellow who wishes to become a specialist pain medicine physician. Trainees in palliative medicine, general practice, medical and radiation oncology are also encouraged to apply.

 

Salary Range:  From HM25 to HM30 – ($2370.00 to $3262.00 per week pro rata depending on experience)
