At the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, the Department of Cancer Surgery provides a comprehensive surgical service for patients requiring surgery for cancer, excluding neurosurgery and thoracic surgery (which is provided by our VCCC partners at the Royal Melbourne Hospital). Patient care is delivered through an integrated multidisciplinary approach, utilising purpose built, state of the art infrastructure.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Administration Coordinator to join the Department of Cancer Surgery at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. The position is Full Time (1 EFT/80 hours per fortnight) with 1 ADO per month

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role or previous administration experience in a healthcare setting. The successful candidate will be adaptable, tenacious, patient focused and have a high level of accuracy. Selection Criteria Essential: Have or working towards a relevant Certificate/Diploma in accordance with the Australian Quality Training Framework or 3 plus years work experience in an administration setting
Essential: Demonstrated skills in the use of IT systems, preferably in a health care setting
Essential: Experience providing direct line supervision to a small to medium sized team
Desirable: Experience using patient administration systems and electronic medical records, in particular iPM and EPIC (or similar electronic medical records)
