Position Summary
The Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation is looking for an enthusiastic and confident leader with experience in a fundraising or customer service environment to join us as the Supporter Engagement Manager.

 

You will lead the Supporter Engagement Team that is responsible for providing the highest level of donor service, seeking out opportunities to enhance donor journeys and play a critical role in raising funds for cancer research. 

 

What will you be doing?

 

We rely on our donors to help make new cancer research discoveries possible. In this role, you will be responsible for providing these amazing individuals with the best donor service and engagement, including developing efficient and tailored strategies for thanking donors and strengthening existing donor relationships.

 

We are seeking an energetic fundraiser/customer service professional to:

  • Manage the Supporter Engagement Team to provide excellent donor service via telephone, email and print
  • Ensure there is an effective communication process in place for the Supporter Engagement Team to enable best practice donor service
  • Proactively engage Mid to High Value donors to strengthen retention, enhance the donor experience and improve fundraising outcomes
  • Manage and resolve complaints from donors and the general public
  • Act as the Foundation’s Privacy Officer to assist all staff to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles and the Foundation’s Privacy Policy
  • Advise and service the wider Foundation team to ensure best practice stewardship and donor care is implemented across all Fundraising activities and programs

 

What are we looking for?

 

This exciting opportunity will suit a passionate and motivated leader with proven experience as a donor development professional. An understanding of the importance of best practise donor care, a ‘can-do’ attitude and the value of clear and timely communications is essential.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated fundraising experience, with proven success in donor development and stewardship
  • Strong staff management and leadership skills
  • Excellent project and process management skills
  • Able to understand and follow set standards, procedures and business rules
  • Can manage competing priorities across multiple appeals and fundraising programs
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and negotiation skills
  • Excellent numeracy skills and the ability to manipulate data and report on it
  • Proven working knowledge of using a database to collate and reconcile information (Raisers Edge literacy preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve set aims and targets through team work
