Your role in our future.

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate nursing professional to undertake the role of Registered Nurse Grade 2 in our Haematology service – one of the largest in Victoria – which includes Myeloma, Lymphoma, Stem Cell Therapies and Oncology Breast.  Working in a fast paced and collegiate environment, you will be responsible for comprehensive patient assessment and the delivery of complex cancer care.

 

Peter Mac Nurses have a passion for cancer care and a strong commitment to evidence-based care that translates into clinical practice experts. With a focus on career pathway and progression, you will work in an optimal learning environment where you will enhance your acute nursing skills, as well as develop your oncology knowledge, with access to flexible education and competency-based programs. Successful applicants will also have the opportunity to apply for post graduate study in cancer nursing and possible future rotational program with The Royal Melbourne Hospital. 

 

The successful applicant will have a background in Haematology/ Medical Oncology or the acute care sector and be able to demonstrate personal qualities and behaviours reflective of Peter Mac’s values of excellence, innovation and compassion.

 

Peter Mac’s cancer care and treatment services are delivered in partnership with The Royal Women’s Hospital and The Royal Melbourne Hospital, all co-located within the biomedical Parkville Precinct. Our main centre – within the new $1billion purpose-built Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre building – has the very latest equipment and facilities to support the care we provide.  We are conveniently located just minutes from the CBD and along three major tram routes with connections to some of Melbourne’s major train stations.
