Your role in our future.

Are you interested in becoming a Connecting Care EMR Credentialed Trainer at Peter Mac?

The Connecting Care program commenced in July 2018 and will finish in 2020 with the delivery of a comprehensive EMR system, which will transform patient care and research in Parkville by creating one powerful clinical and research system.

As a credentialed trainer, you will work collaboratively with the Training Manager and Principal Trainers to deliver Epic technical and workflow training and support to colleagues at Peter Mac.  Your operational experience and expertise will assist you in leading effective end-user classroom style training using curriculum, lessons and training materials, and provide "one on one support" at go live.

You will be credentialed in a selected Epic application and will combine your clinical and operational experience, as well as an interest in training, to assist Peter Mac staff in understanding the EMR in the context of their existing roles.  Your primary focus will be to drive efficient adoption of the EMR and optimise the proficiency and productivity of end-users.  You will be asked for flexibility to accommodate some early morning, late afternoon or weekend training sessions.

The role will commence in January 2020, the secondment period will last for 6 to 10 months.

Your training will be a six-week local Epic training and credentialing program.  No EMR experience is required.  Part time applicants will also be considered. If you have a keen interest in the EMR program and possess strong, engaging presentation skills, please apply!

Selection Criteria Desirable: Experience in group facilitation or delivering presentations and comfortable interacting in a dynamic training situation or experience is strongly preferred.
