Your role in our future.

 

We are seeking a Bioinformatician / Data Analyst to join the Bioinformatics team within the Cancer Research Division. This position will work with a team of cancer researchers and bioinformaticians to address the analytical challenges posed by evolving genomic technologies.

 

In this role you will

  • Learn the molecular biology and bioinformatics concepts related to cancer research;
  • Apply bioinformatics methods and statistical tests to address research hypotheses;
  • Assist with the computational processing of large volumes of data.

Candidates who wish to apply for this position MUST:

  • Have a Bachelor or higher degree in Bioinformatics / Biochemistry / Mathematics or equivalent;
  • Have excellent programming skills in R and Python;
  • Have experience in handling large data sets in a Linux environment;
  • Have a strong interest in cancer research.

Desirable (non-compulsory) qualifications:

  • Some experience in genomics research, next-generation sequencing data analysis, and applied statistics

This position will begin with a 12-month contract with prospects of a permanent position for the right candidate.
