The Parkville Cancer clinical trials Unit (PCCTU) co-ordinates trials across the 3 hospitals of the Parkville Precinct: The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, The Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Royal Women's Hospital. We are the largest oncology trials centre in Australia. We are seeking an appropriately skilled experienced gyane-ocnology research nurse to join our busy gynae-oncology team . The sucessful candidate will have  acute and gynae nursing experience, they will have hospital site clinical trials experience in gynae oncology with Phase 1 experience included. As the gynae team also care for Rare tumours and the Cancers of Unknown  Primary  (CUP) portfolio, experience in these tumour streams will also be an advantage. They will have excellent communication and problem solving skills and enjoy working an a busy and challenging environment. This is a nursing position and not open to other disciplines. Essential criteria:


  • APHRA registration as a divison 1 nurse
  • Acute and gynae nursing experience
  • Experience in hospital based gynae-oncology commercially sponsored clinical trials, including Phase 1
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills


Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience in Rare Tumour and Cancers of Unknown Primary management


Remuneration to be in line with the Nurses And Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2016-2020 - YT13 - YU14 ($91,000.00 - $93,000.00)

Selection Criteria Essential: Current APHRA registration as a division 1 nurse.
Essential: Oncology nursing experience
Essential: Hospital based gynae-oncology clinical trials experience, including Phase 1 or First time in human commercially sponsored trials.
Essential: proven excellence in communication and problem solving
Essential: excellent team working skills
Desirable: Understanding of the management of Rare tumours and Cancers of unknown primary
